Wibbly is the outcome of a project aimed at fostering interaction within the city hall. This venue presents a unique opportunity for engagement among diverse individuals, as it is a common space that every resident, regardless of their background or beliefs, must visit at some point. It is a genuinely public area, primarily used for waiting rather than interaction among citizens—waiting for your turn, your appointment, or your documents to be processed. Wibbly transforms this dynamic. An air cushion embedded within the bench subtly shifts when someone sits down, gently moving the other person seated on the bench. This slight movement is enough to surprise them, making them aware of each other and breaking the ice just enough to spark a conversation. It is a small gesture, but it has proven effective in encouraging dialogue between citizens and making the city hall a more social environment.
